Real home kitchens
Not pop-ups. Not restaurants. Actual home chefs cooking from their own kitchens, sharing recipes that have crossed continents and generations.

Homemade × Tasty Walk · Amsterdam
Walking experiences through the city's home kitchens, hidden neighbourhoods and best-loved streets. One route open today — many more in the making.
The Story
In every Amsterdam neighborhood, there's a Pakistani mother making seekh kebabs the way her grandmother taught her. A West African chef perfecting jollof rice. An Indonesian family preserving Moluccan recipes that rarely make it to a restaurant menu.
These are Amsterdam's home chefs — and they're cooking some of the city's best food, right now, from their own kitchens.
Tasty Walk pioneered the culinary walking experience in the Netherlands during 2021, with over 70,000 participants discovering their cities one bite at a time. Now, we're proposing the next evolution: not restaurants, but real homes.
The Concept
Pick a route, walk between five home chef stops at your own pace, and taste a signature bite at each one. No fixed order. No tour guide. Just discovery.

Not pop-ups. Not restaurants. Actual home chefs cooking from their own kitchens, sharing recipes that have crossed continents and generations.

Start at any chef. Visit them in any order. Take three hours or take all afternoon. The walk adapts to you, not the other way around.

Routes through neighborhoods most tourists never see — Indische Buurt, Nieuw-West, the multicultural heart of the city.

We don't take a cent. Every euro from every walk goes directly to Sharing a Meal — supporting people in Amsterdam who need a warm plate the most.
The Routes
Each route blends home kitchens with the streets, canals and stories that make Amsterdam worth walking. We're building them slowly, with chefs and locals — not all at once.

Five home chefs across Indische Buurt, Plantage and De Pijp. Five cuisines, five bites, one unforgettable afternoon.
